In the life of a family caregiver your days may go by like minutes. So many things to accomplish, things rolling around in the back of your head that you know you need to start planning for. Yet often times you find your mind so full that you are barely breathing.
I know it’s hard to find that time for yourself. I remember all too well days that I wish I could find time out but it simply wasn’t going to happen.
I found this article Five-Minute De-Stressers for Family Caregivers, that shows you some very cool ways to do simple things for yourself in 5 minutes. Yes, 5 minutes can make a big difference in your life. Often it’s just enough to step away and give you a fresh perspective.
I personally love the idea about playing music. There are days even now that I wake up to a myriad of things to do and I get scattered. So I put music on and it distracts me long enough that when I go back to start my daily to-do list I’m much more focused. Try it, you just might like it!
Be well,
Cyndi
