Embracing Authenticity: A Guide to How We Should Show Up in the World

Whether you are caring for a loved one, professionally caring for clients, or caring for yourself, the time that we take for ourselves is the most significant gift we can share with others. It is that simple.

Art - Embracing Authenticity

Recognizing the importance of self-care isn’t just about taking time off; it’s about cultivating habits and practices that nourish our mind, body, and soul. Whether you engage in a hobby, exercising or practicing mindfulness, these ultimately equip us to give our best to those we care about.

In essence, the time, and the effort we invest in ourselves indeed become significant gifts we can share with others because a well-cared-for individual is better equipped to care for and positively impact the lives of those around them.

Everything we do during the day touches others. From the barista serving your morning cup of joy to the people in your office, your impact is a ripple effect that others feel. When you react negatively, you may dampen the spirit of others or rile them up to anger. We all have choices on how we’ll react of course, but either way, YOU are the center.

Here are some ways you may want to consider ‘being’ as you go out into your world:

  1. Authenticity: Be true to yourself and your values.
  2. Empathy: Practice understanding and compassion for the experiences and feelings of others.
  3. Respect: Treat others respectfully and kindly, regardless of their background, beliefs, or differences.
  4. Open-mindedness: Be open to new ideas and perspectives.
  5. Gratitude: Cultivate gratitude for the people and opportunities in your life.
  6. Mindfulness: Perhaps one of my top things to pay attention to during the day – practice being present in the moment and mindful of your thoughts and actions.

One of the practices we share at Breathing Spaces is BreathWork. I can tell you from personal experience and those testimonies I’ve heard from others that the practice can shake your inner core and give back a tremendous amount of balance.

One of the perks of taking advantage of this practice is being able to do so in the comfort of your own home. I’ve been through many mindful/balancing techniques, so doing so is comfortable when I am around others. But I must admit, I’ve done this practice with others in person and online (you don’t hear them online), and I had a more significant experience doing this at home. I knew it was just me, Anthony as my guide, and the experience was powerful.

Everything we do at Breathing Spaces is done with a conscious effort to offer you a well-thought-out variety of programs and intentional support. Running life on empty serves no one. Take a breath and join us.

Hugs,

Cyndi
