Brought to you by Tiffany Baker
Grief is the pain that we feel in the absence of what we desire. Whether it’s the company of a loved one, our home to which we cannot return, a simpler time in life, or nameless other comforts, when we are separated from these things we experience profound sorrow.
Grief has many faces and comes in many waves. It can feel like a tumultuous sea in a storm, an endless, rainless desert, or being dropped in the middle of the unknown without a map. We can feel afraid to look at it, for fear it might at the slightest glance suck us down into an inescapable realm of pain, darkness, and despair. Fear and sadness can drive many to avoidance and isolation during times of grief. But you don’t have to do this alone.
A Grief Coach can accompany you as you go. As a Grief Coach, I offer a regularly scheduled time and space to consciously look at your grief 1-on-1. Together we check in on your heart, mind, and body as they process your loss. We face whatever pain and fears may arise, and we do so together. Through grief, may we discover a new relationship with what has been lost.
